Fish Island

I went to see a man about a bike recently. En route to his workshop, I discovered a part of London that I had not been aware off: the artist community around the Old Peanut Factory on Fish Island.

All in the shadow of the Olympic Park, I was stoked to discover an organic mixture of old warehouses, businesses, studios, cafés and street art. I did not buy a bike, but I took many photos.

  3. All this street art is so amazing, what a colorful place to live. We have been talking a lot about starting a town beautification project in our town, there are so many beautiful artists in the town but it's looking so run down.

    1. That would be a great project! I have a sad grey concrete wall at the end of my street, and have been thinking we should have a neighbourhood painting party to make it look better. I like murals and graffitis, they are like little unexpected treats.

    1. Thank you! My dad actually repaired an old bike of mine and I'm using that for now. I would love to swap it for a Holland type bicycle one day, though.
