Gesche's photography project and accompanying
Kickstarter campaign! I'm uncouth like that.
Gesche started working on the
Go for Gold! series six years ago and has continually updated the
project since, critically documenting the social
and geographical transformation of East London’s landscape in preparation for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic
Games
Gesche sees the current exhibition
"as an
important counterweight to the Cultural Olympiad and the images that
have been distributed by the Olympic Delivery Authority and London
Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. That's also
why it is so important to me to show the series while the Olympics are
actually on."
Through signing up for
Kickstarter, Gesche is hoping to raise funds for gallery hire, the private view, and insuring her artwork. You can read more on the project
