I'd just like to tell you about a blog called No Mark At All today. This blog is owned by Rachell, who loves to pursue the matter of photography in her spare time. Rachel kindly offered to sponsor other bloggers for free this month, and I accepted her generous proposal.
Rachel says of herself and her blog:
I've been taking pictures since I was 14 and have dreamed of selling my art ever since. No Mark At All comes from a quote from Mary Swan's book The Boys in the Trees, in the short story 'Long Exposure'. A beautiful piece in which the main character talks about how people were moving in and out of the frame of a long exposure shot. "...others who were moving more quickly and left no mark at all."
I probably read a little deep into this, but what I took away from the story was that everyone's life has a level of opacity in this world. If we don't slow down and make an impression, we'll leave no mark at all. So here are my photos to leave that mark and share what left an impression on me.
Go check out Rachell's space! Visit her blog for her wonderful pictures and great features like I Wish I'd Shot You and browse her shop if you like prints and pretty jewellery.
Thanks, Rachell, for having my button on your blog for September!
