Brooch Of Secrecy

It cannot seriously be 8 June already?! That gives me only 2 weeks to finish my brooch for the Flower Press swap! And even though I've had brooches on the mind from the day I signed up, I have not really done anything to make one happen so far. Except for scouting out my partner's blog.

I am really happy with my match, but this blogger is fantastically crafty and has excellent taste. I hope she will like what I end up doing. And hey, I've decided on material and colours now, I even made a brainstormy kind of drawing. I think the next days will see some brooch activity!

So, my creation may involve these threads and fabrics:

Or my initial idea may end up in disaster and I will come up with something completely different. It's been known to happen...

Any thoughts on the green fabric, anybody? Is it too green?
