Amazing Asparagus Cake

I may have mentioned before that I LURVE asparagus. A little while ago, Marco and I were having some rhubarb and strawberry cake that I had made, and I jokingly said: "I wish I could somehow also incorporate asparagus into this, then I could eat all my favourite spring foods in one dish."

And then I found this on Sweetapolita :
