Paris - May 2009

These photos are from our first trip to Paris. I had never been before and it was love at first sight for me. It started with the journey there, feeling very cosmopolitan, taking a cab to the station to catch an early morning train. Something got messed up in a real good way with our booking, so that we ended up in first class, with a croissant breakfast and room to spread out and read the papers. The train ride from London to Paris is about 2 1/2 hours. It takes me longer to get to work sometimes!

The first thing we did in Paris after checking into the hotel was sit down in a street café for some crêpes and cidre. The waiter was lovely, the weather was lovelier and everything was just so NICE! Had I know then that Marco was carrying a ring in his pocket, I would have burst into song, I think.

I hope you enjoy the memories I captured, and yes - that macaroon is as large as my hand!

You can look at photos from our second trip here.

  1. Wow! Did you take all of those photos? You really have a knack for photography. Beautiful!

Seeing these photos makes me miss living in Berlin. I lived in Berlin for a semester in college, for study abroad (my minor was German). I loved every minute of it...and miss it daily. Where did you say you were from in Germany?
