More Photos From Back Home In Germany
Hope you enjoy these pictures of some cakes, a swimming pool, a breakfast table, the weekly farmer's market round the corner from my grandparents, the Landfrauenmarkt (Country Women's Craft Fair), a windmill, some landscape and details from the farmhouse café Frelsdorfermühlen.

Thankyou for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThose cakes look lovely, I hope you bought one!
Lovely photos.
The one with the green and aqua door is my favorite. The farmers market also looks lovely. I would love to have access to one like that.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos. Almost as good as your rhubarb and custard jam, mmmmmmmmmmmmm

ReplyDelete:o) When I saw those colours I wanted to take a picture straight away!
And I do miss the "Wochenmarkt" ('weekly market'), because in Germany shopping like that is just a part of life and the produce is local and affordable, whereas in London I sometimes feel like it's part of a 'lifestyle' and only well off trendy people shop at a farmer's market. They are also more infrequent here. Sorry, this turned into a rant now...
What WONDERFUL pictures! :) thanks for sharing... Looks like you had fun! Makes me miss Berlin... I went to the flohmarkt every week, it was a blast. And all the wonderful pastry shops, yum!

ReplyDeleteI agree, Berlin flea markets are the best! You can buy everything there!!!
Oh, I love all these images! Just gorgeous! Also, great photo of the food on the table. It reminds me of when I was in Germany and the breakfasts I had there.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet day Annika!
p.s. me and the hubby are visiting my parents in Alberta next year, so definitely will be passing through the Rockies from Vancouver.

ReplyDeleteThank you. If Germans got something right, it's the art of having breakfast, I think. When we visit my parents, we always get treated to a big one, and usually they save themselves cooking us lunch that way.
Marco and I took a road trip to Banff from Vancouver once, I loved the mountains. Do you miss home sometimes?
